Government financial assistance is provided to ensure that no students are deprived
of education for lack of financial means, notwithstanding that the programmes are
offered through self-financing mode. With effect from the 2001/02 academic year,
full-time, local students pursuing self-financing accredited post-secondary education
courses will benefit from the following financial assistance schemes-students pursuing

- Means-tested Grant / Loan Scheme
- Non-means-tested Loan Scheme (NLS)
- Student Travel Subsidy
